Ideally, all teachers want their classroom environment to be one where all students are motivated, so students are engaged and can put forth their best work. These two types of motivation are approach (which indicates a reason to move forward) and avoidance (which indicates a reason to move away). Students may become frustrated if they are not presented with instructions that require them to work consistently. Continuous learning of subjects in a same classroom environment can become boring for students after few time. Consequently, teachers should try to incorporate a change of scenery when it comes to lesson plans as this makes the content fun and encourages students to be motivated and learn new content. Enthusiasm can be contagious, and people exude positive energy. Students are more eager to learn and ready to be motivated if their teacher is passionate about the material they teach. No one is motivated to learn in a stressful classroom environment, so it starts with teachers making sure the environment is positive and that there is a genuine passion for the content they teach.
