*Milad* means the time of birth. *Milad or Born* refers to the blessed birth of Sayyid al-Anabiyyah, Prophet of Mercy, Shafi-i-Ummat, Rahmat-i-Kunin, Hazrat Muhammad-e-Mustafa, Ahmad-e-Mujtabi, may God bless him and grant him peace.
Eid
🔹And *Eid* means an occasion of joy. So, the meaning of *Eid-e-Milad-ul-Nabi* is to celebrate the arrival of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) in the world and the birth of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and the beautiful attributes of the Prophet (peace be upon him). (i.e. mentioning good things about the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)) and discussing the arrival of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), expressing happiness while living within the realm of Shariat.
🔹 And expressing happiness in any legitimate work while living within the realm of Shariat is clearly proven by Quran and Hadith.
As Allah the Exalted has said
🔸 Say, By the grace of God and His mercy, so he rejoiced.
قُلْ بِفَضْلِ اللّٰهِ وَ بِرَحْمَتِهٖ فَبِذٰلِكَ فَلْیَفْرَحُوْا-
(Surah Yunus: 58)
(O Habib, may God bless him and grant him peace) You should rejoice in the grace of Allah and His mercy and in Him.
🔹Today, if someone gets even a small blessing, he expresses immense happiness over it and these happiness are only for a few moments, if not today, they will end tomorrow, while the greatest blessing in the universe for a Muslim. It has been found that he is the blessed person of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him).
As Allah the Exalted has said
🔸 Verily, Allah showed a great favor to the Muslims that He sent them a Messenger from among them.
(Al-Imran, 164)
🔹 So when one is happy on receiving small blessings, why not express happiness on receiving the biggest blessing (Namat-e-Kabri) while living in the realm of Shariat?
That's why Muslims express happiness on the arrival of their Prophet (PBUH).
🔹 May Allah bless us with the true love of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and grant us the ability to act upon it as the truth and convey it to others for our pleasure.
(Amen, then Amen, in the name of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him)
