High level of flood situation persists in Sutlej River

Sutlej River continues to be in high flood condition, several dams have been breached by the flood water and many communities have been affected. Sutlej river flood level has entered the river belt areas of Ahmedpur Sharqiya tehsil. Crops were drowned by floods and the zamindara embankment broke. Apart from this, the Sutlej river rail has also entered Pipli Rajan, Bhanda Venus and adjoining settlements, the dam has broken in Shamsabad area of Ouch Sharif. The 130,000 cusec railhead passing through Empress Bridge is moving towards Panjand, the flooded railhead has reached Multan-Sukkur Motorway, there is a possibility of damage to the Motorway due to high flow. In Bahawalpur, several areas of the river belt have been cut off and many connecting roads have been submerged. Farmers have suffered as cotton, fodder and other crops have been drowned by floods.
