Hazrat Umar Farooq (RA)

The glory of Hazrat Umar Farooq (RA) in the light of the Prophet's (PBUH) hadiths

Umar Ibn al Khattab

In this universe, no matter how virtuous and pious someone is, he cannot reach the glory of a companion who spent only a few moments in the blessed company of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). They are the best people. There is a hadith in the Holy Qur'an, My companions are like the stars, you will be guided by whomever you follow. The glory of these great personalities is that the Lord declares that He is pleased with them. I have said: Allah is pleased with them and they are pleased with Allah and He has prepared for them gardens under which there are rivers, always stay in them, this is a great achievement.

The personality of Hazrat Umar Farooq (RA):

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (RA) said: Umar (RA) was the most beloved to Allah.

((Allah is the Most Exalted in Islam by the Love of these Two Men to You: By Abu Jahl or by Umar Ibn Al-Khattab))

O Allah! Among these two men: Abu Jahl and Umar bin Al-Khattab, who is dear to you, honor Islam with him, i.e. make him a Muslim.

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Masoud Radiyallahu Anhu says that when Umar (Radhiallahu Anhu) accepted Islam, we remained equal in honor from that time. (Sahih Bukhari: 3684)

As a result of the blessed prayer of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), Hazrat Umar bin Al-Khattab (RA) accepted Islam.
