Where is the moon fragment located in Pakistan? How valuable is this piece and what is special about it?

The "piece of the moon" was given by the United States to Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, the Prime Minister of Pakistan at that time. After that, when the national antiquities were handed over to various institutions, the piece was given to the National Museum, since then it has been kept in the National Museum of Pakistan, Karachi.”

This is what Muhammad Yaqub Khan, who is the curator of the National Museum of Pakistan in Karachi, has to say. This piece of the moon was brought back from the moon by American astronauts in 1972 and was later gifted to Pakistan among other countries.

The amazing thing is that the moon we see from earth looks spotted but also white and shiny but the piece of moon kept in the museum is black in color. Talking about this, Muhammad Yaqoob Khan Kanwar said that the moon shines due to the light of the sun and looks white, but there is no oxygen on the moon and the land of the moon is black in color.

This piece of moon is so valuable that it has been stolen in different countries but it is still safe in Pakistan and it can also be used in research matters.
